Dave Riding
Dave got a bike from his younger brothers and was way excited to be able to start riding again so this time I decided to go with him and his brother Steve and watch them ride. The went to a track in Lakewood that is pretty crazy, so the first time around Steve crashed but it was nothing serious. So around and around they went. Then Dave went off a jump and crashed pretty bad. I didn't see him land because the landing is around a corner that you can't see from where we were. So after a while he came down to the truck but wasn't using his hand. He said he wanted me to take him to the hospital cause he was sure it was broken. I helped him take off his helmet and he had a small cut in his head and when he took off his shirt he had a big abrasion on his back and said that the bike landed on him and it was probably from the peg. He ended up being fine no broken bones but the bike needs some work now so its on the sidelines for now until he either fixes it or gets a new one. He's hoping for a new one so we'll see. Boyd loves riding with his dad and uncle Steve and can't wait until he can ride one himself. It's pretty sad I can only tell them apart by what color they're wearing while they're riding.

Montrose
We had the chance to go visit our friends the Halls' down on the Western Slope in Montrose a few weekends ago and had such a great time. We love going to see them. Kye is Daves' brother from another mother, they come from the same mold I swear! Yes, Kye is just as obsessed with hunting and all that may involve as much as Dave. So Tiff and I understand each other better than anyone else possibly could when it comes to our husbands obsessions. (Its nice to know I'm not alone)
Well while our husbands were out roaming the woods with firearms and fishing poles having some shooting therapy Tif and I took the kids to the lake for the day and they had a blast. They played in the lake, built sandcastles and little Emry ate plenty of dirt. All without one fight or meltdown. We loved going to see them and miss them tons!

A lot of updates!!
Well It has been a couple of months since I last posted and it's been really crazy around here. So it is my goal today to update all of our happenings. Just scroll down from here and you'll see all that has been going on. I wanted to keep up the dates so I would remember them for the future.
So to get started I just returned home about 2 weeks ago from an emergency trip to California. I got a call on Friday morning July 9th from my mom saying she was taking my dad to the ER with chest pain. So I was really worried of course. Then I got a call saying that he would stay overnight and have a stress test Saturday morning. Well on Friday night he had chest pain again so they drew some blood and his cardiac enzymes were elevated so the stress test was canceled and they decided to do an angiogram on Monday morning. So Saturday at 10 pm I flew out to see my family. My dad kept telling me he was fine but I needed to be there. So Monday morning came and they took him down to cath lab. After about an hour and a half my mom came back up and told my sister and I that my dad had to have open heart surgery with 5 vessel bypass grafts. I fell apart. All of us kids were there minus Dave and my kiddos. I can be strong when it comes to my kids and husband, but when it comes to my parents and siblings I have a very hard time. So Tuesday morning they took him in for his surgery. It was about 5 1/2 hours until they told us everything went well but they couldn't bypass one of the vessel's but that it would be ok. So we got to watch them wheel him by us back into the ICU and from then on we got to see him just for a couple minutes for that first night. That was very difficult to see. He came around though and was discharged from the hospital that Sunday morning. I flew home Saturday night and he's been doing great ever since. I am very grateful for my family and all they do for me and am so blessed to be part of such a close nit family.
