Just for fun Apples and Wine

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now men.... men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes and it's up to women to stomp them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Our Beloved Prophet

Our beloved prophet Gordon B Hinkley has passed away and I am feeling like it's a bit surreal. I think it's just because I didn't get to go to church today I don't know but I am so glad he his with his true love again and with our Savior and Father in Heaven.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Well for christmas we were fortunate enough to be able to visit my family in California. It was a great but way to quick trip. My parents left their tree undecorated so that my kids would have a tree to decorate. Here are a few pics of them decorating with some cousins.

Boyd putting some on at his height.

Putting on the Angel

We went to my favorite place Hunington Beach the day after Christmas to fly kites and it was great fun.

Snow fun

Well I just realized I have been slaking major on my blogging but it's been a crazy month with finishing up school and Christmas shopping and all the other daily grind. But it's finally over for this semester so here are some pictures of what we've been up to.

We got a little bit of snow on top of our ice so Aubrey had to go and enjoy it. She doesn't last too long in 10 degree weather but she has fun anyway.

Boyd watching Aubrey play in the "snow" mostly ice. He didn't have snow pants and boots but now we finally got him some so he can go and play with his sister.

Happy Thanksgiving

Well I've been wanting to post about our Thanksgiving but I haven't had a chance until this morning. I only got to take one picture because I was so busy worrying about all the food and making sure everyone was having a good Thanksgiving I forgot to take more pictures. I had Thanksgiving at our house for us and two other families in our little branch who didn't get to go home for Thanksgiving either. The Holmes and the Earls. I thought it was a great Thanksgiving and I am very thankful to have friends to spend the holiday with since we couldn't be at home with family. Nicole and Mandy helped with bringing some side dishes so I didn't have to cook too much. I wanted to give thanks for a few things I am thankful for:
1. My kids and Dave of course, but I really am extremely thankful to have the opportunity to be their mom especially since having them wasn't so easy.
2. Friends both old and new to fill in when family isn't here.
3. Our education here, it's been a sacrifice but we are so blessed to be here and able to do this.
4. Last but not least by any means, The savior and the Atonement

Dave's HUGE Buck

Well here is the buck that Dave shot while he was in Colorado in the middle of October. He went down to southern Coloardo with his friend Kye and shot this "toad". Personally I think he's a little bit narrow and tall but apparently this is a huge buck. Good job Dave.
