Ok so not to pat myself on my back or anything but I did the Surf City half marathon (so only 13.2 miles) this last Sunday in Huntington Beach, California. It was great and not to mention it was at my favorite beach. It rained the whole race but it was so fun. There was so much energy there so it keeps you going. I did it with my older brother Peter who is a great brother and friend for doing this with me. I asked him to do it with me because the kid can run forever and I knew he'd keep me going and if he can keep running then I should be able to, I'm 8 yrs younger than he is so there was also a bit of that sibling competition which was my plan, and it worked. We did it in 2hrs 29min 15sec. It was the most fullfilling thing I've ever done for myself. I am already looking for another one to run, I'm thinking the one in Denver in October but we'll see what happens.

I've been wondering how you did this weekend. Nice work! I can't believe you ran for 2 1/2 hours straight! I can't even sit through a movie that long!
Good for you Sarah! I am glad you left both kids and had the weekend to yourself. I have been running for 30 minutes a day and it about kills me. I don't think I could run for 2 more hours!
So proud of you. That is AWESOME! You're pretty much my hero. We need to catch up, hero!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so proud of you. I know what you mean - - it is so fulfilling to see what your body can do if you push yourself!! WAHOO! You are awesome.
