Boyds' surgery

Well back in April Boyd woke up one morning rolling around on the ground screaming in pain holding onto his little junk. So I called the Dr and we went to see him and he told me that he couldn't find his right testicle. It had always been up and the Dr had always been able to pull it down but now he couldn't. So he sent us to see a pediatric urologist. So we went to the urologist and he said that he needed to have surgery to see if his testicle was stuck or what was going on. So on April 15th we went into surgery. It was suppose to be a simple routine go in and pull down his little testicle and close up the opening and be out. Well when they went in he saw that he actually didn't have a testicle on the right side at all. So he did a laparoscopy to make sure it wasn't up in his abdomen and still no testicle. SO he went back in and figured out that while Boyd was in utero developing it torsed or twisted on itself and died. So the Dr removed the tissue that was left and said he'll be fine and shouldn't have any trouble.

Boyd did awesome and I got to bring him back into the OR to be put to sleep and I was able to come back to the recovery room before he woke up so I was there while he was waking up. I thought it was funny that he wouldn't wear the blue cap they gave him so they let him wear his baseball hat back to the OR.

When he woke up he was starving since he hadn't eaten for 24 hrs so he asked for chicken nuggets from McDonalds. The nurse quikly said no he only could have clear liquids for the next 24hrs and being the good mom I am I took him straight to McDonalds on the way home and got him his nuggets ,fries and orange drink. He was so happy to have his food. He couldn;t walk for the rest of the night but that didn't stop him from scooting around on his butt to get around for the rest of the night.

Waiting for them to come get him.
Watching Toy Story while waiting.

Playing with his blue OR hat.

That's enough of this hat. No more
