Castlewood Canyon
So there's this canyon by where we live so we thought it'd be fun to take the kids and go for a little hike and take some pictures. Well we didn't know where we were going so the first trail we attempted was no good for us considering it was almost all rock climbing. So we headed down the road and found this nice little trail. It was a fun afternoon hike before I headed off to work all night.

Traditions
So I was reading my friend Shannon's blog and she got me thinking about our family traditions. We don;t have a lot of our own yet but we have a few and some from our childhood.
- For the pas 6 years now our Halloween tradition is to eat mama Faylor's corn chowder(YUMMY, and Aubrey's absolute fave) before trick or treating then come back for cake and ice cream for Aubrey's birthday.
-every Christmas eve after our baths we always get new PJ's that are a surprise with new slippers.
-on Christmas morning we can always look in our stockings but can't touch any presents until my dad hands them out.
- the first snow of the season i attempt to make (again)Faylor's famous cinnamon rolls with hot cocoa.
- while we live in Colorado (we couldn't do it in South Dakota) we go and cut down our Christmas tree in the forest and have hot chocolate. Now that we're back we can start that again.
Dave and I have been talking about this for a few years and need to start more of our own traditions. I'm interested to see what others do.

HE PASSED!!!!
DAVE PASSED THE BAR!! SO we found out this morning at 9:20 that his name is on the list. YEAH!! I ditched school so I could check online right at 9 am and it didn't get posted until 9:20. I was getting so irritated, do they not know that peoples lives were waiting in the balance for hose results. So I called Dave at work and told him to refresh his computer because he couldn't see the list. We are so excited. I'm so proud of him and now we're house hunting!!! I found a few I like but still want to see some more but we hope to be in a house before Thanksgiving. Ok so I know I haven't been up on blogging but I work full time 12 hr nights and go to school full time and now looking for a house. I promise to post some pics soon.

Well a couple of weekends agao we went to visit our friends in Montrose, CO for the weekend. We had a blast of course thanks Kye and Tiff. Here are some pics of when we went to Ouray also known as Switzerland of the US while we were down there.
Boyd, Aubrey and Jaden
Our little family inside this crazy cove where a raging waterfall comes into the river. You can't really see the waterfall only hear it and its fierce.
Aubs and Jady inside the cave on the otherside of the bridge.
View from the top of the bridge we were standing on.Yikes it's soooo high and you can see through the bottom of the bridge.
Kye and Aubs catching a fish.

Growing up to fast
I can't believe my little punky is in first grade!! Where has the time gone? She loves being able to ride the bus now and her teacher is awesome. Here she is about to run out the door to catch the bus and I grabbed her for at least on quick picture of her first day. She's growing up so fast and into such smart little girl. We are so blessed to be her parents.
