Crazy Week!

Well this week has been an interesting one to say the least. First last Sunday night I ended up in the ER with a kidney stone and possible gallbladder attack. So the drugged me up good and got my kidney stone taken care of and tested me for my gallbladder. All those tests came back normal so they said my gallbladder was fine. Well the pain in my upper right side wasn't going away so I went to the GI Dr and he said he wasn't really sure what was going on but if it didn't get any better to come back. So Sunday night at work the pain was horrible so I walked over to the Dr's office after I got off work on Monday morning and he decided to scope me on Tuesday to see if there was anything going on. Sure enough I have an ulcer! OUCH!! That's all I have to say about that. It hurts like a beast. Not the same as a kidney stone but it's a constant pain that just will not go away. So I'm on some meds now for that and hopefully it will get better soon.
Then yesterday we had a blizzard! What the crazy!! I have been wearing capris and shorts and so loving it and then this. We got a foot of snow here in Castle Rock and Aubrey didn't have school both yesterday and today. Dave's office closed at noon so they could make it home before it got to bad and then he didn't have to go in until late this morning. So the kids went out today and played in the snow with a little neighborhood friend. And yes Boyd is in pink snow pants. He doesn't have any that fit so he had to wear Aubrey's from last year but he had fun none the less.

Our House

So I know it's been forever since my last post but you know how it is moving into a new house and trying to get it together how you want it. Well it'll be a little while before the kids rooms are how I want and the living room is a work in progress mainly because it's so big I need to figure out how I want it set up but for now here it is.

Here is the entertainment center in the family/living room. I zoomed in from the front door. This room is huge!! I love it but it's hard to figure out how to arrange the furniture so that you can still see our little TV
Kitchen from the dining room

Dining room

Staircase going upstairs.
So there is the bottom floor anyway. When I get the kids rooms how I want them I'll put those up.

Christmas in February

My parents came to visit us as soon as we got into our house to help us get settled in and bring the kids Christmas to them since we didn't get to go to California for Christmas. My mom even brought a little Christmas tree for the presents to go under for them. She's the best meme anyone could ever ask for. It was awesome having them here for that week. The kids loved having them here as well. Boyd wore my dad out with all the baseball playing so he went an bought Boyd a T-Ball set. They ended up taking Aubrey back to California with them since she went off track a week after she started her new school. She was gone for 3 weeks and it was so she had a blast. She got to ride horses every chance she got and was spoiled rotten. WE ALL MISSED HER SOOO MUCH!!!!

Aubrey got High School Musical Dance Dance Revolution

Boyd got an airplane shooter. He loves this thing!

FINALLY!!!

So we finally got into our house YEAH!!! We closed on Friday afternoon and I went straight to Lowe's and ordered our refrigerator, and our dryer, bought a fan and paint and went over and started painting. Dave and I and his sister Lynsey and her hubby Jake painted until 3 am Saturday morning. Then moved all day Saturday and finished moving the rest over Sunday night. I LOVE IT!!! I'll post pictures when it's all put away. But for now I just wanted to update so you all know.

House Update UGGHHH!!!

OK so here's the scoop with the house (so frustrating by the way!!). The bank says they have our approval letter in hand and are now trying to resolve an issue with the second mortgage that the seller has out on the house. Originally they were just going to take a lose on it but then changed their minds so now they want some $$$. So the bank offered them a price but they want more and are saying they won't play ball so our realtor, the sellers realtor and us are trying to see if we can all make up the difference. My advice to anyone that is going to buy a short sale house, START NOW if you want to be in it by August. I swear it takes forever and is more than frustrating. Trust me if we'd seen anything comparable to this house that wasn't a short sale I'd say bag this and we'll go deal with an actual seller of a house that we could just buy. However we haven't seen anything even close so that's why we're holding out for this one. Hopefully we'll hear some good news this week so we can hopefully be in our own place by the end of the month I can dream can't I? but we'll see and I'll keep you all posted.

Merry Christmas

This Christmas season I have so much o be thankful for. I am so grateful for the Savior and all He has done for us to be here and I love the Christmas season for the reminder it gives us all. We are so blessed in our lives and I just can't imagine how hard it would be without the gospel and the knowledge and comfort it brings to us. Christmas this year was a little different for us because even though we live with Dave's parents they went to Oklahoma so we had our own little Christmas here with his two younger brothers. So we got to start doing some of our own things but not in our own place or with our tree or anything. So it was a little weird but we tried our best to make it work. I made clam chowder in bread bowls for Christmas eve dinner and then we made and decorated sugar cookies for dessert. On Christmas night I made a ham dinner with all the goodies but then I had to work so everyone just lazed about the rest of the night. Boyd was very into the lights everywhere this year so driving around town was really fun with him at night. Aubrey was excited too but she was sad not to see her meme and pepe and all her aunts and uncles and cousins in California this year. We tried but it just wasn't gonna work out this year. All in all it was a good Christmas so I can't complain.

Yes you are seeing this right. Grandpa got them each a real .22 rifle for Christmas
